Evelyn Damjanovich is a business bookkeeper with 15+ years of broad business experience across steel, manufacturing, hospitality, IT, recruitment and retail sectors.
Evelyn's worked in big national companies, small local businesses and has also accounted for her own family's business operation.
Based in the vibrant port city of Fremantle WA, Evelyn now specialises in supporting small business owners with their business bookkeeping & cash flow management requirements.
Evelyn is also a mum and successfully manages to balance life with her chosen career.
Evelyn Damjanovich was born and bred in Fremantle. She started work with Tubemakers of Australia a National Steel Company. Employed there 8 years, she moved from Accounts Assistant to Inventory Clerk (maintaining stock levels worth millions of dollars). Beginning in this corporate environment helped her build a solid foundation for future endeavours.
Evelyn completed a Diploma in Management, while accounting for her family's lounge manufacturing business. During this time her passion for small business and cost accounting grew. She moved on to do more MYOB accounting work for companies in hospitality, IT and recruitment.
When she turned 30, Evelyn went on a working holiday to Melbourne. She was employed by fashion retailer Kookai as their first Payroll Officer (responsible for 300+ staff). It was a challenging yet rewarding 2 year period. Evelyn gained great experience and respect and praise flowed for her consistent efforts to improve business systems and provide accurate and timely payroll input.
After Kookai, Evelyn chose to work for a bookkeeping agency and further develop her skills as a bookkeeper. This suited her as there was always variety of work and new clients to establish relationships with.
In late 2007 Evelyn became a proud mum to Kaden. Since then she has been successfully juggling motherhood whilst forging ahead in her chosen career.
Evelyn loves what she does as she's a natural problem solver with a sharp analytical mind. She works like a detective sifting through your paperwork to find any missing pieces to the puzzle for your business.
The process of creating order from chaos is Evelyn's forte. She enjoys working alongside a business owner; coaching them along and helping them see “The Big Picture”.
Evelyn is strongly aligned to the Business Balance holistic approach. She has always been open minded and keen to learn and develop as a person.
As a mother, life/work balance is crucial to a happy healthy family.
Evelyn will also tell you that using a cashflow forecast in your own personal finances is both enlightening and empowering.
Outside work Evelyn enjoys keeping active doing a spin class or yoga or walking down at South Beach with her little boy and West Highland Terrier "Banjo". She researches on the net, reads magazines & books and attends workshops & seminars on all things related to business and inspired living. Evelyn also loves hosting a party or event and being involved in charity fundraisers.
